Kunar’s sheriff Abdul Habib Sayedkhil said the air raid targeted a truck killing at least 10 people including 4 women, 4 children and 2 drivers. In an announcement, ISAF affirmed that the attack killed “10 insurgents” and there is no information on civilian causalities. ISAF is conducting investigation on the accusations. Civilian casualty, a sensitive topic in the US-led war against Taliban, has strained relations between Kabul and Washington. According to the UN statistics, the number of civilians killed in Afghanistan in the first half of this year increases by 23 % against last year, with 1 thousand deaths and 2 thousands injuries.
