Hanoi exhibition traces “Ho Chi Minh's footprints in China”

(VOVWORLD) -The exhibition "Ho Chi Minh's footprints in China" opened on Monday in Hanoi, celebrating the centenary anniversary of the day Nguyen Ai Quoc, who later became President Ho Chi Minh, first set foot in China on his journey for national salvation on November 11, 1924.

Attending the exhibition opening ceremony were Lai Xuan Mon, Deputy Head of the Party Central Committee’s Communications and Education Commission, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam He Wei, and Russian Ambassador to Vietnam Gennady Stepanovich Bezdetko.

More than 200 documents, images and artifacts introduce to the public the imprints President Ho Chi Minh left on China and portray the close-knit friendship between the Chinese people and President Ho Chi Minh as well as the long-term revolutionary friendship between the people of Vietnam and China.

The exhibition includes three parts: Revolutionary footprints-Inspiring friendship; Throughout the land of China-Deepening friendship; and Ho Chi Minh's imprint-Eternal friendship.

Dr. Vu Manh Ha, Director of Ho Chi Minh Museum, said, “President Ho Chi Minh was the great leader of the Vietnamese people and close friend of the Chinese people. He devoted his entire life to the liberation of the Vietnamese people, tirelessly striving for peace and progress around the world, diligently cultivating and developing the friendship between the two parties and peoples of Vietnam and China."

"During his revolutionary life, he visited China many times, lived there for many periods of time, made many Chinese friends and left deep feelings. Many places in China bearing the footprints of President Ho Chi Minh have the power to move people's hearts and become vivid symbols of the Vietnam-China friendship,” Ha said.

The exhibition is underway at Ho Chi Minh Museum, 19 Ngoc Ha Street, Hanoi, and will run until the end of April 2025.
