Afghanistan to secure smooth US troop withdrawal
(VOVWORLD) - Afghan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has told US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, who is on a visit to Kabul, that Afghanistan respects the US’s recent decision to withdraw all troops from Afghanistan and will ensure a smooth transition.

Mr. Ghani emphasized the joint effort of all countries in the fight against terrorism.
US President Joe Biden has announced he will end the US’s longest war by withdrawing all US troops from Afghanistan by September 11, the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York.
