(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s export of agro-forestry and fishery products in the last 5 months raked in approximately 22.8 billion USD, an increase of 30% against the same period last year.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said Vietnam spent 19.6 billion USD on importing agro-forestry and fishery products, up 51 percent year-on-year, resulting in a trade surplus of 3.27 billion USD.
Top selling products include rubber, tea, rice, vegetable, pepper, cashew nut, cassava and cassava products, tra fish, shrimp, wood, rattan and bamboo, and cinnamon.
The US, China, Japan, and South Korea remain Vietnam’s biggest agro-forestry and fishery importers.
