(VNA/VOVworld) - Vietnam’s agro-forestry-seafood exports have maintained growth in the first month of 2013 with an estimated turnover of 2.17 billion USD, a year-on-year increase of 40%.

Staple exports have earned 1.17 billion USD, up 47%. Rice exports have reached 500 thousand tons, representing a year-on-year jump of 109%. In January, Vietnam shipped 191,000 tons of coffee, earning 387 million USD, up 71% in both volume and value. Vietnam remains the world’s top cashew exporter.
The export of agricultural products alone hit 800 million USD this month.
