Air passengers in Vietnam surpass 100 million
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese airports were estimated to serve 106 million passengers this year, up nearly 13% from last year, according to the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam. 1.5 million tons of cargo was handled, up 7.7% year-on-year.

Vietnamese airlines transported more than 50 million passengers and nearly 400,000 million tons of goods, representing respective increases of 14% and 26% compared to the previous year.
The Vietnamese aviation market currently sees the operation of 68 foreign airlines from 25 countries and territories and four local carriers: Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Jetstar Pacific, and the Vietnam Air Services Company (Vasco). The 68 and three Vietnamese carriers are operating 130 international routes linking Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Nha Trang, Phu Quoc, and Hai Phong with 28 countries and territories around the world.
