Concluding the online meeting with leaders of Ho Chi Minh City on Thursday, the Prime Minister said he will continue to stand side by side with the city every day. He urged the Ministers do their best to perform the highest priority at this time to protect the people’s health and life, effectively fight the pandemic, and do not let anyone lack food, clothing and other minimal and essential needs.

Prime Minister Chinh said that the overall goal of the Government and the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee is to contain and stamp out the pandemic in the city and provinces as soon as possible. He said people's health and life must be put in the first place, people's lives should not be disrupted, and treatment of COVID-19 patients must be carried out intensively. He repeated the Government’s motto "fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy," to achieve the dual goal of developing economy and combating the pandemic.
