Thang, who is also Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council, addressed a national conference in Hanoi on Wednesday on implementing the Prime Minister's Directive to include human rights into the national education system.
He emphasized the need to promote the roles and responsibilities not only of the ministries or sectors participating in the Project Executive Board, but also of the People's Committees of provinces and cities and the whole political system in order to create profound changes in the awareness and actions to meet the needs and expectations of human rights education in Vietnam.

Dr. Pham Nhu Nghe, Deputy Director of the Higher Education Department, Ministry of Education and Training, outlined human rights education plans, saying: “Our goal is that by 2025 human rights documents will be available for all education sessions of the national education system. Educational institutions from preschool to higher education will be provided with official training programs."
"Teachers of all levels will be trained and especially students from preschool, primary education, secondary education to university education will be equipped with knowledge and skills on human rights, which will make our society better,” he added.
