Al-Qaeda warns France of new attacks
(VOVworld) - Senior al Qaeda leader Sheikh Harith al-Nadhari released a recording over social media websites on Friday pledging further attacks in France. Referring to the attack on satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, he said it would be better for the French to stop striking Muslims so they can live in peace.
Earlier, before being shot dead by police forces, one of the attackers in the Charlie Hebdo massacre, Cherif Kouachi, admitted he was financed by al Qaeda of Yemen. While French television channel BFM said that Charlie Hebdo also belonged to the IS. An American official said that one of the two suspects of the Charlie Hebdo massacre was trained by the Al-Qaeda group in Yemen. Other American official said that those two attackers were listed on its terrorism list for years.
