(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Ambassador Ha Kim Ngoc attended an online meeting on ASEAN’s response to economic recovery after Covid-19 organized by the Meridian International Center.

He said the pandemic has caused unprecedented challenges for all countries, including Vietnam. As the ASEAN Chairman for 2020, Vietnam has worked closely with other members to quickly implement ASEAN’s collaborative mechanisms and ASEAN activities.
He expressed his hope that American businesses especially in technology will continue to choose Vietnam as a lucrative and safe investment destination and supplier. He said besides cooperation in medical and vaccine production, both countries have business opportunities in e-commerce, infrastructure, and energy.
American business representatives expected ASEAN and Vietnam in particular to re-open their markets soon for American investors.
