Alaa Saadeh, 23, was charged with supporting and inspiring others to join the group, US Department of Justice disclosed in a statement on Monday. He is also charged with trying to persuade a witness not to co-operate with authorities. Saadeh could face up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
Saadeh bought a ticket for his brother and accompanied him to JFK airport, who was arrested in Jordan for supporting the IS.
