The meeting focused tightening pandemic measures at industrial and trade facilities, ensuring the balance of market supply and demand of essential commodities, and development orientations of the industry and trade sector.

Minister Nguyen Hong Dien said these facilities are allowed to operate only when they are COVID-secure.
“Fighting COVID-19 at industrial parks and export processing and trade zones is critically important at this moment. If we fail to contain the coronavirus in these places, it will spread out into the community, paralyze industrial production and trade, and subsequently disrupt domestic and global supply chains. So this should be our foremost task,” said Minister Dien.
