The Vietnam National Brands pavilion is introducing to visitors the strengths of domestic textile and garment industry brands.
Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Trade Promotion Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, said the fair brings together major buyers and sellers and helps form links in the value chain from the production of raw materials and auxiliary materials to final products.
He said the fair will give Vietnamese enterprises access to new technologies in Europe and the US, which will help with digital transformation and achieving green production goals.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade has promulgated many policies and directives in the fields of green and digital transformation to help businesses compete with rivals, said Phu, adding, "The textile industry must change its value chain to higher added value,” said Phu.
As of mid-February, Vietnam had earned 5 billion USD from garment and textile exports, up 17% from last year.
