Appeal for donations for children affected by COVID-19
(VOVWORLD) - The National Fund for Vietnamese Children is calling on local and foreign donors to provide different forms of aid to children affected by the COVID-19 resurgence in Vietnam.

According to the Fund, the growing complexity of the COVID-19 pandemic is putting enormous pressure on economic development and social welfare in Vietnam. It has had a direct impact on nearly 7,000 children in 26 cities and provinces nationwide as of Tuesday.
The Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs’ Department of Child Affairs has forecast that the number of children affected will surge to around 42,000 by the end of the year. The pandemic has direct impacts on the lives and development of children and their families.
The National Fund for Vietnamese Children has launched a fundraising campaign from June 1 to July 31 calling for Vietnamese and foreign organizations and individuals to make donations in the form of cash, items, or services.
Information on donations will be updated weekly on the Fund’s official website at www.nfvc.org.vn.
