(VOVworld) – The increase in exported shrimps and slight recovery of the tra fish and cuttlefish products pushed Vietnam’s seafood export turnover to a record high of 776 million USD in October, up 30% from last October.

The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP) reported that the seafood industry so far this year has earned 5.4 billion USD, up 7.2%. The Association predicts that aquatic exports this year will rise 5% to surpass 6.5 billion USD. Vietnam’s shrimp processors and exporters have attempted to find new input sources to take advantage of the current shrimp shortage in the world market.
