Arab League welcomes Biden's remarks about a two-state solution for Israel and Palestine
(VOVWORLD) - Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul-Gheit on Thursday welcomed remarks by US President Joe Biden affirming a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Aboul-Gheit said what happened in the past - tightening economic and political conditions for the Palestinians - was a grave mistake. Now the US administration wants to correct that mistake by re-involving the Palestinians in the peace process.
Aboul-Gheit called the Biden administration's decision to restore economic, developmental, and humanitarian aid for the Palestinians, including funding for the UN Relief and Work Agency, "a positive step."
Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ahmed Hafez said on Thursday that Egypt welcomes the US administration's decision to offer financial support to meet unprecedented economic and humanitarian challenges.
