(VOVworld)-Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Le Hoang Quan received the President of Argentina, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, at Reunification Palace on Saturday. Quan said that the visit would open activities to celebrate the 40^th anniversary of diplomatic ties and futher cooperation. President Cristina Fernandez agreed that the two sides should encourage their businesses to increase mutual visits to seek investment and cooperation opportunities. Earlier the same day, the Argentine President visited the historical relic site of Cu Chi underground tunnel. She expressed her thoughts during the visit:“It was lovely to visit the underground tunnel. It demonstrated the Vietnamese people’s steadfastness to fight for independence and freedom. I hope that both countries will foster cooperation for better people’s living standards.”
