Argentina's Reporte Asia and ABC Mundial emphasized the support socialist nations and oppressed populations across Asia, Africa, and Latin America gave Vietnam during its resistance against the French. Vietnamese Ambassador to Argentina Ngo Minh Nguyet was quoted as saying that the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory reminds Vietnamese people of their pride in the Communist Party and President Ho Chi Minh.
