(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s successful hosting of IPU-132 consolidated its reputation in the international arena, said Chairman of the Argentina-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group Ricardo Cuccovillo. Cuccovillo, who attended the recently-concluded the 132^nd Inter-Parliamentary Union Assembly in Hanoi, lauded the contributions of the host to the event’s success in an interview with a Vietnam News Agency correspondent on Thursday. The event constituted a new step towards strengthening relations between the National Assembly of Vietnam and other parliaments, he added. Cuccovillo praised Vietnamese initiatives as significant contributions to the Assembly’s resolutions as well as the logistic efforts made by the organization board. He hoped that the IPU-132 strengthened political, economic and trade relations, and created solidarity between the legislative bodies and peoples of Argentina and Vietnam.
