(VOVworld) – An art program to raise funds for poor, disadvantaged children was held in Hanoi on Saturday by the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, the National Fund for Vietnamese Children, and Vietnam Television.
Vice President and President of the National Fund for Vietnamese Children Nguyen Thi Doan attended the event. The program raised 60 billion VND. 11 collectives and individuals received the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs’ certificate of merit and 2 individuals received the medal of merit “for the cause of labor, invalids, and social affairs.
Vietnam has more than 26 million children, 1.5 million of which are in difficult circumstances. In 2015 the National Fund for Vietnamese Children raised 88.7 billion VND to help 100,000 disadvantaged children.
