(VOVworld) – The embassies of Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand held an ASEAN Culture Night in Oslo, Norway, last week to promote mutual understanding and cooperation. Vietnamese ambassador Le Thi Tuyet Mai reviewed ASEAN’s achievements, its expanding role in the region, and cooperation between ASEAN and its partners.

She said that ASEAN countries appreciate Norway’s support for ASEAN’s development and its goal of building a Southeast Asian region of peace, connectivity, and prosperity on the basis of democracy and a state governed by law. She added that Norway’s cooperation with Vietnam and ASEAN encompasses trade, investment, energy, climate change response, environmental protection, and human rights.
