(VOVworld) - The ASEAN Women’s Circle (AWC) organized an ASEAN traditional culinary festival at the ASEAN Secretariat headquarters in Jakarta on Friday.

The Festival brought out the best of traditional dishes from the 10 ASEAN member states and those from the bloc’s partners, including Japan, the Republic of Korea, India, New Zealand, and China. At the event, AWC Chairwoman Ugi Pramono said the annual festival helps forge links and mutual understanding between ASEAN women in particular and the people in the region in general. Also on the occasion, AWC held a charity fair to raise funds for street children in Jakarta.
