During the annual deputy ministerial dialogue, delegates agreed to promote the implementation of the Plan of Actions on coping with COVID-19 pandemic and strengthening cooperation in maritime, trade, investment, energy and food security as well as climate change response.

The Korean side pledged 10 million USD of a quick response fund to share experience in COVID-19 treatment, prevention and vaccine development in the ASEAN. The Republic of Korea supported the ASEAN principle of maintaining peace, stability, security, freedom of navigation and aviation in the East Sea while settling disputes by peaceful means based on international law.
