(VOVworld) – ASEAN Secretary-General Le Luong Minh was in Seoul from October 8-12 at the invitation of the Republic of Korea’s Foreign Minister, Yun Byung Se, to prepare for the 25th anniversary of ASEAN-RoK dialogue relations.

Minh also paid a courtesy visit to a number of senior Korean officials, including President Park Geun Hye, the Secretary-General of the ASEAN-RoK Centre, the trilateral co-operation secretariat, and the Seoul-ASEAN Committee.
The Republic of Korea vowed to strengthen its partnership with ASEAN and support ASEAN’s central role in regional mechanisms and the building of the ASEAN Community by 2015 and the post-2015 ASEAN Vision. The two sides pledged to co-ordinate in organising the summit, enhance forestry co-operation under the ASEAN-RoK Forest Co-operation Agreement, which has been extended by 2 more years, and increase co-operation in trade, investment, culture, and delegation exchanges.
