(VOVWORLD) - As an ASEAN member state, Vietnam commits to international cooperation to ensure security and safety of cyber space.

Deputy Minister of Public Security Lieut. Gen. Luong Tam Quang was addressing the 6th ASEAN Ministerial Conference on Cyber Security hosted by Singapore via a video conference on Wednesday. He highlighted the need for a joint training program to maintain a healthy and safe cyber environment.
"We should develop a joint long-term training program for the ASEAN with dialogue countries’ support with strengths in technology based social management, focusing on important areas such as law making, digital investigation, data analysis and recovery, trans-national organizational crime prevention, crypto currency and privacy towards a self-prospered cyber space in the ASEAN,” Quang said.
At the event, Ministers issued a declaration on cyber security, emphasizing the protection of material IT infrastructure from threats for an enhanced secured and safe cyber space while supporting Japan-ASEAN capacity building initiatives.
