(VOVworld) – The Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association (VITAS) will host a conference of the ASEAN Federation of Textile Industries (AFTEX) and an international conference on improving the abilities of the ASEAN garment and apparel supply chain with regard to sustainable development. These events will take place in Hanoi from October 31 to November 2.

The conference will focus on the impact of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement, free trade agreements, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement, and the ASEAN Economic Community on the regional garment and textile industries.
Material, modern machinery, and garment and textile industry technology will be on display on the sidelines of the conference. The 5,000 square-meter-exhibition space will feature 190 companies from 15 countries and territories.
