(VOVWORLD) - Head of the Party Central Committee’s Mass Mobilisation Commission Truong Thi Mai on Tuesday gave a reception in Ha Noi for a delegation of the ASEAN Community Women's Group led by Ambassador Nguyen Nguyet Nga, on the occasion of the 110th anniversary of International Women’s Day (March 8).

Ms. Mai said Vietnamese women have affirmed their role in many areas including external affairs. She asked the group to go ahead with activities to promote this year’s priorities, enhance relations between women, and help build a shared ASEAN cultural identity.
The group hailed Vietnamese women’s contributions to the development of Vietnam and said they’re working to better understand Vietnamese culture and introduce that culture to their own people.
