ASEAN+3 Meeting in Brunei
(VOVworld) - Within the framework of the 46th ASEAN Ministers' Meeting and related meetings in Brunei, Ministers of ASEAN member countries and its three partners, China, South Korea and Japan on Saturday discussed the agenda of the ASEAN+3 Ministers' Meeting, which will open on Sunday. At the ASEAN+3 Ministers' Meeting, delegates will review the initial results of the first 5 years of the 10-year action plan of ASEAN+3 approved in Singapore in 2007 and review the report of the East Asia Vision Group submitted in last November's Ministers' Meeting, from which to orient the cooperation of ASEAN+3 for the years to come. As the most important ministers' meetings in the year of ASEAN and between ASEAN and its partners, their main contents are to review and put forth measures to boost cooperation among ASEAN member states and between the grouping and its partners while discussing international and regional of mutual concern. ASEAN+3 is promoting the ASEAN bond market initiative in order to better use the source of capital for regional investment, as well as boost the Ciang Mai Initiative Multilateralization with the short term loan of up to 240 billion USD for ASEAN last year.
