(VOVWORLD) - An ASEAN committee has launched ASEAN Access, a one-stop business information gateway for international-oriented firms to expand their market outreach within ASEAN and beyond.

The launch of the portal, initiated by the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises, took place in commemoration of the upcoming International MSME Day, celebrated every year on June 27.
To mitigate the risks of entering a new market, the portal will connect businesses with service providers in distribution, transportation, logistics, market research, consultancy on intellectual properties, laws, and regulations, and other areas. The team behind ASEAN Access will pool their resources to provide the portal’s services, including business matching services, which will be available by the end of this year.
ASEAN Access supports ASEAN’s Strategic Action Plan for SME Development 2016 – 2025, which aims to create globally competitive MSMEs.
