Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada chief calls for support for SMEs
(VOVWORLD) -Members of the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC) have prepared roadmaps and recommendations to reform policy and improve the business environment in APEC.
On the sideline of the 3rd ABAC conference in Toronto, Canada, President and CEO of the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, Stewart Beck, said he supported digital trading and called it a foundation for SMEs to engage in cross-border trade. Digital trading will allow Vietnamese businesses to export products to ASEAN members and China.
He proposed that governments become fully aware of digital trading and create the necessary policies to promote it. Their recommendations will be submitted to the APEC leaders’ summit in Vietnam in November.
