Asia-Pacific Tourism Association convenes in Vietnam

(VOVworld)- The Asia Pacific Tourism Association held its 20th conference entitled “Tourist policies for future development in the Asia Pacific region” in Ho Chi Minh city on Wednesday. The event was attended by travel managers, experts and researchers from 17 Asia Pacific countries. The delegates stressed the need to strengthen cooperation and mutual support in promoting and seeking funding for tourism. La Quoc Khanh is Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism: “Being held in Ho Chi Minh City, the conference reflects the city’s desire for cooperation. We are particularly interested in research and orientation-related activities. The participation of 17 countries at this important event is a great honour for us”.
The development trend for hotel tourism in Asia, destination and personnel management, heritage and health care tourism and tourism technology were also high on the agenda of the conference.
