Australia, Indonesia strengthen cooperation to fight terrorism

(VOVworld) – Justice and security ministers from Australia and Indonesia met in Sydney on Wednesday to discuss cyber-security and the fight against extremism, the financing of militants, and threats posed by foreign fighters. Present were Indonesia's Chief Security Minister Luhut Pandjaitan and Attorney-General George Brandis and Justice Minister Michael Keena representing Australia.

A press release from the Australian government said the second meeting of the Ministerial Council on Law and Security will boost Australian-Indonesian efforts in counter-terrorism and prepare for the second Regional Counter Terrorism Financing Summit that the two countries will co-host in Bali this August.
