At a ceremony in Hanoi on Wednesday, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Quoc Dung acknowledged the Australian ambassador’s efforts to organize numerous high-level visits and meetings between the two countries and promote bilateral cooperation.

Mr. Chittick has helped to improve cooperation in national defence, security, trade, education, training, people-to-people exchanges, and between the two foreign ministries, Deputy Foreign Minister Dung said.

The ambassador pledged even greater efforts to foster the Australia-Vietnam strategic partnership.
