The IATA will formally award the IOSA certificate to Bamboo Airways at a ceremony in Hanoi on January 3.
The IOSA certification audit is among the most important evaluation systems designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline, achieved by only 16% of airlines worldwide. It uses internationally recognized auditing principles and is designed to conduct audits in a standardized and consistent manner. Airlines are re-evaluated every two years.
Bamboo Airways is the first private carrier in Vietnam to use the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. It currently operates 34 domestic and international routes. Earlier this year, Bamboo Airways signed a deal to buy 30 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft.
