(VOVworld) – A workshop to discuss the revised Bankruptcy Law opened in Hanoi on Wednesday. Delegates said that the law should avoid criminalizing bankruptcy and look again at the links between bankruptcy and the interests of businesses, the parties involved and law enforcement agencies.
Legal experts agreed that bankruptcy must be based on the principle of maximizing the value of business assets to help businesses restructure themselves. Some delegates said that any amendments should avoid encouraging bankruptcy. Comments and opinions on the Bankruptcy Law will be sent to the National Assembly for consideration at its 7th session.
