(VOVworld) – President Tran Dai Quang hosted a banquet in Hanoi on Wednesday for the visiting Myanmar President Htin Kyaw, his spouse, and Myanmar’s high-ranking delegation.

Mr. Quang said the visit is an important event, opening a new development period for the traditional friendship and comprehensive relations between Vietnam and Myanmar after 40 years of diplomatic ties.

President Quang said he is happy with the outcomes of their talks and the determination of the two countries to make their bilateral relations more effective and maximize the potential of each country.
