Beirut explosion casualties rise to more than 5,200
(VOVWORLD) - Lebanese Health Ministry said Wednesday that the explosion on Tuesday sent shockwaves across the city, raising death toll to 135, 80 missing, and more than 5,000 wounded.

The Ministry said the number will climb up as heavily-injured patients are being treated and many victims are still trapped in rubbles. Six field hospitals have been built. Damage caused by the explosion is estimated at 10 to 15 billion USD.
Lebanese President Michel Aoun insisted on investigating the explosion’s cause, held relevant officials accountable, and urged the Lebanese people to unite.
