(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh has urged Ben Tre province to mobilize resources to boost local socio-economic development, promote public-private partnership, invest in strategic infrastructure, and enhance economic restructuring in association with innovating growth model and improving competitiveness.

Speaking at an Investment Promotion Conference of Ben Tre province on Thursday, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh asked ministries and sectors to support Ben Tre province in carrying out their socio-economic development tasks.
He said: "The government always creates conditions for Ben Tre to fully exploit its potentials and strengths to develop rapidly and sustainably. Enterprises and investors should have long-term and sustainable business strategies, collaborate with the administration at all levels to properly implement investment commitments and cooperation agreements, strictly comply with laws and policies, and contribute to local socio-economic development and social security.”
Ben Tre province has 330 investment projects, including 68 FDI projects with a total registered capital of 1.66 billion USD. At the conference, Ben Tre province called for investment in 32 projects in industry, infrastructure development in industrial parks, petroleum, gas, tourism, agriculture, ports, and residential areas.
