(VOVWORLD) - 44 best press works were honored in Hanoi on Saturday with the National Press Awards “For the cause of Vietnamese education”, which was held for the second time in 2019.

1,000 entries were sent to this year’s awards, 30% more than last year’s competition.
Ho Quang Loi, Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists' Association, said: “The National Press Awards ‘For the cause of Vietnamese education’ demonstrate the whole society’s great concern about developing education and training. Press works cherish the unyielding spirit of educators all over Vietnam who, regardless of any hard circumstances, still engage in this glorious cause.”
In each of the four categories: printed newspaper, online newspaper, television, and radio, there was one top prize, two second prizes, three third prizes, and five consolation prizes. The Voice of Vietnam won eight prizes at this competition.
