At the seminar “Opening safely and effectively- Golden opportunity of Vietnam’s tourism”  held in Binh Dinh province on Friday, participants focused discussions on urgent issues in opening domestic and international markets in a comprehensive, safe and effective manner.

Vietnam lifted restrictions on international flights from February 15 and the Government has agreed to a proposal on resuming tourism activities under new normal conditions from March 15.

Lam Hai Giang, Vice Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, said: “The seminar focused on two groups of issues on the context and opportunities. In my opinion, it is necessary to have products to be ready to effectively open tourism. How to turn risks into opportunities and take advantage of the opportunity to successfully open the tourism sector. Drastic thinking and action are needed to make reopening a golden opportunity for development.”

From November 2021 to February 8, 2022, when Vietnam piloted welcoming international tourists, the country  saw more than 8,900 international arrivals, according to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism.
