(VOVWORLD) - The National Tourism Year 2022 will open under the theme ‘Quang Nam – A green tourism destination’ with an opening ceremony to take place on March 15 at Ky Uc Island in Hoi An Ancient Town, and a closing ceremony in late December at Vinpearl South Hoi An.

Quang Nam plans to host various programs under six different themes, according to the plan.
They include spring tours from January to March, river-based and agri-tours from April to June, tours to Chu Lai from April to September, tours to explore ethnic cultures and the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail from May to August, summer tours from May to September, and heritage tours from September to December.
All activities must meet green tourism criteria in an environmentally friendly safe destination to ensuring safety for visitors.
Organizers hope the National Tourism Year – Quang Nam 2022 will improve the image, position and brand of Vietnam's tourism and Quang Nam province in particular, especially as Vietnam officially reopens its tourism activities from the middle of next month.
