Pham Tuan Duong, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion, and Head of the Red Journey program in the southern region, said the drive has helped provide blood for emergency treatments as well as raise public awareness on blood donation to save people in need.

The Red Journey 2017 has collected around 5,000 blood units donated in localities it has travelled through, including Ca Mau, Kien Giang, Can Tho, Long An, Ho Chi Minh City and Ba Ria-Vung Tau.
