(VOVworld) – The Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2017 concluded on Sunday in China’s Hainan province.

Secretary General Zhou Wenzhong presented the conference’s statement on promoting economic globalization. The statement said cross-border trade and investment liberalization create momentum for global sustainable development and governments should oppose trade protectionism, call for trade investment liberalization, and better multilateral investment mechanisms.

The BFA annual conference, begun in 2001, is an international non-governmental and non-profit organization. It is an important place for dialogue between Asia and emerging economies.
