Bomb attack in Nigeria kills more than 100
(VOVworld) – At least 32 people are dead and some 80 people are injured after an explosion in the Nigerian city of Yola. The blast occurred at a fruit and vegetable market near a main road.

The attack happened several days after President Muhammadu Buhari visited this area and said the Boko Haram group is going to be defeated. The cause for the attack is not known. Since Boko Haram launched an uprising in 2009, at least 17,000 people have been killed and more than 2.5 million people have fled their homes. Boko Haram has announced that it is loyal to the Islamic State and wants to establish an Islamic state in West Africa, covering Nigeria, Chad, Cameroon, and Niger.
