Bomb attacks in China’s Xinjiang region cause deaths and injuries
(VOVworld) – On Thursday two cars crashed into shoppers at a market in Urumqi, in China’s Xinjiang region. 31 people were killed and more than 90 people were injured by bombs thrown during the attack.

Chinese President Xi Jinping has pledged to strictly punish the terrorists and exert efforts to maintain order in Xinjiang.
Last month a bomb attack at a station in Urumqi killed three people and injured dozens more. Since late March, the local court in Xinjiang has tried and imprisoned 39 people for their involvement in acts of violence, organizing terrorist activities, manufacturing illegal weapons, and promoting racial discrimination this area.
