Bomb blasts in northern Nigeria kill dozens
(VOVworld) - Twin blasts rocked a market in the Nigerian city of Gombe, leaving at least 49 people dead and dozens more injured. An official from the National Emergency Management Agency confirmed the attacks and said the fatality count would probably increase as many people were critically injured. Boko Haram is thought to have carried out the attacks. Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has said destroying Boko Haram is one of his top priorities. Hundreds of people have been killed in bomb blasts and shootings since he took office on May 29th.
