(VOVworld)- A book fair and exhibition featuring historical and legal evidence of Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos opened on Thursday in Can Tho city.  The event aims to infuse the younger generation with patriotism and determination to safeguard Vietnam’s territory. Do Hoang Trung, Director of the Can Tho’s municipal Department of Information and Communications said: "The event hopes to draw people’s attention towards Vietnam’s sea and islands. We’ve accelerated communications activities for the event through TV, newspaper, radio, and the internet. The event was publicized in outlying districts and communes of Can Tho city." 
On display are books and materials from the Da Nang institute for social-economic development, the National Border Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnam Coast Guard, the Vietnam People’s Navy, the Vietnam military history museum, and other sources.
