(VOVworld)- Vietnamese Minister of Defense General Ngo Xuan Lich paid a working visit to Singapore from October 23 to 25 at the invitation of his Singaporean counterpart Ng Eng Hen.

At a reception for the Vietnamese delegation on Monday, Singapore’s Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong urged the two defense ministries to step up defense ties. He said the Singaporean government and the Prime Minister himself would support and create favorable condition to promote bilateral defense cooperation. Minister Ngo Xuan Lich said Vietnam treasured and prioritized the development of cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore. Before the meeting, Minister Ngo Xuan Lich and his Singaporean counterpart Ng Eng Hen held talks, during which they agreed to work harder to strengthen bilateral cooperation. They agreed to support each other at multilateral forums including the ASEAN Defense Ministers’ Meeting ADMM and ADMM+.  During their visit to Singapore, the Vietnamese delegation visited the Information Center and the Humanitarian and Disaster Relief Center in Changi Naval Base.
