Border control strengthened to prevent COVID-19
(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam has urged for strengthening control of the borders to ensure disease safety during the upcoming 13th National Party Congress and the traditional Lunar New Year festival.

Speaking at a National Steering Committee meeting for COVID-19 Prevention and Control in Hanoi on Thursday, Mr. Dam, who is also Head of the Committee, said, 'The Ministry of Health needs to increase inspection and assign specific tasks to designated people. We need to prevent illegal entry and urge the local people to report suspected entries.'
The Steering Committee asked localities to implement regulations on quarantine to prevent COVID-19.
