Permanent member of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat Vo Van Thuong urged sectors and mass organizations to coordinate with the Border Guard to carry out the program.

"The real value of the program is to show the gratitude of officers and soldiers to the people. This is really a festival of ethnic minorities in the border areas and islands and is a very meaningful cultural activity, imbued with national cultural identity, that brings joy and excitement to local ethnic minorities when spring comes," said Mr Thuong.

On Sunday afternoon, Mr. Thuong visited and gave gifts to officials, local citizens, and the Vietnam and Laos border management and protection force at Hong Van Border Gate, A Luoi district.
